I lived with Dunc while he was at University in Leeds. From the first time I met him we hit it off and remained good friends. We lived in the luxurious 'penthouse' (Hardly!) apartments in 17 Headingley Mount along with the Millenium loser (Hegs).
He was someone who always had time for others. Anyone who could put up with teaching me how to cook must be fairly special! In fact some of my fondest memories are of us cooking. Our Christmas dinner last year will go down in folklaw as one of the greatest meals ever. Dan & Dunc made far too much food but we weren't allowed to leave the table until we finished every last bit. I remember leaving the fattest man in the world. Dunc will also be remembered for being one of the founder members of 'Skyrack Sunday's.' This consisted of us meeting every Sunday in the Skyrack Pub and drinking lots of booze. Many a serious and necessary discussions were had such as; what's better Rugby or Football? or do you prefer Guinness or Stella? It's amazing how long you can spend discussing these things. For me , Duncs best ability was to always make you feel happy. When he asked you 'How are you?' he genuinely meant it. He always had time for a chat and he taught me so much, even now. Dunc, you are 'GENIUS' mate, Take care of yourself. Love to everyone Hutch xx |
