The time I got to know Duncan best was whilst travelling around Austarlia where we stayed in the same hostel for two weeks. It coincided with my birthday and he contributed some money out of his travelling money to buy me a present as well as a card, a lovely thought. From reading all the messages on the board this is not the only example of Duncan treating people like individual’s and making them feel welcome, although i didn't know him as well as others it seems he tried to adopt this approach with everyone he met which is a testament to his good will and kind heart. It was always nice to see Duncan. Although it is a cliché that the good die young I am sad to say that by Duncan’s death the real truth of this statement has been bought home. My thougt's are with hs friends and family
