Last Friday night was the end of season party for InterHyogo FC. There were a number of awards presented, mostly joke stuff, but we finished with the big prize - The Duncan Barnes Cup. The whole team, as well as his mates from Rainbow Town, contributed to buying the cup which will be awarded to the Best and Fairest player each season. There has been a consensus at the club that we need to find some way to mark Dunc's place in the team and this seemed the best way to do it. The voting for the award was by secret ballot. The only rule was that the winner had to have played for Inter this season. It turned out that the inaugural winner was Duncan himself. There was a quiet moment after the announcement, which was broken by Elliot's chuckle and call "Oh, nice one, Barnsey!" We'll post photos of the evening and the cup, when they come in. Cheers.
