I haven't posted a message here yet, because I just didn't know where to start and I still find it hard to know what to put 8 months on. I first met Duncan in my first year at Leeds and became friends then, and we lived together in the third year after I had come back from Beijing. I can say that my third year at university was the best year I had at university. It was largely down to Dunc that I ended up living in a house with him and Dan and am so grateful for that as we had such a good year together. We were a bit of a threesome, whether it was in the library, chatting in the kitchen, cooking together, getting drunkard, getting fit, beating each other up,taking the piss out of eachother, a posy night at Bambu....it was all good. There are so many things I could say about Dunc, some of things I remember best are: our chats, his hugs, his laugh, his t-shirts....
Dunc was always someone I could chat to about anything, and he was such a good friend to have. I was so lucky to have had the chance to live with him and spent so much time with him. I wish I could have got another chance to live with him. In the last 8 months, a number of us from Leeds have met up and it is impossible not to notice Dunc's abscence and I know that we all think about him so much but it is always refreshing to see the people (and mannerisms) that Dunc brought together whilst he was at university and in London. I miss you but often feel as though you are still here, watching me write this, you will have never have gone in my mind. I will always remember everything that you bring to me. |
