Edit
My first memory of Duncan was of him in a baby bouncer, one of those that used to hang from the door frame, about 2 years old he was. Looking back now, there were many fantastic moments when the Barnes and the Williams's used to come together, either in London, Derbyshire, or even abroad. I remember the time as kids when we went to football games together at Tottenham or at Derby County(sorry about that Duncan but it was only fair , the holiday in Brittany and building a castle in the sand designed to withstand 'the biggest waves' and in more recent years simply having a beer and catching up on how we've all changed.

The last time I met Duncan was at Christmas. As always he had a fantastic smile and always made everyone laugh. He talked to me about his time in Japan and spoke so fondly of everything about the place. He spoke of his plans for the future and his dreams and ambitions of working with for the FA, and not just taking a 'standard graduate job'.

I was devasted to hear the news but will always remember Duncan smiling. It was a time when I was just getting to know him again as a close friend and I am so very sad that that was cut short.

All I can think to do now is reach out and hug Norma, Barry and Craig.

He will be hugely missed

Take care Duncan
Love Gareth
