Unfortunately I never had the pleasure of meeting Duncan. However, having just returned from a visit to Japan I feel a connection to him. While in Japan I enjoyed a number of things that Dunc himself experienced- such as Puk Puk, the Daiei and my own sister Kate's famous Curry Night. I got to meet many of Dunc's JET friends and it is clear to me now just how much he meant to them, the important part he played in all their lives and how greatly he will be missed. It saddens me that I never got to really know Dunc as I'm sure he would have touched my life just as he has done to all those who knew and loved him the most. |
