I have this memory of Duncan that I think about often. We were on the train...it was one of those rainy.. blue.. days... I was pre menstrual and feeling pathetically sorry for myself...prattling on about some rubbish...with Duncan patiently listening. I remember it now... I'll never forget the sincerity in the expression on his face. He put his hand on my shoulder and said" My God..I sometimes forget what it is like for you guys...women really do have it tough...don't they channy??!!" and then he gave me one of his famous hugs. It was such a real hug. Beautiful Duncan. I miss you. x
