How we love Duncan, young bright eyed, handsome Duncan. The party boy who always organised the place to meet. The days of laughter when he arrived in Sydney with Mike, Joe, Ronan,Jack & Steve, how they drove from Cairns in the old van, his favourite stop off was Frazer Island. I so recall all those boys sleeping on the floor all the sandwiches and the roast dinners. The trip to Melbourne to visit Ramsey Street and the crazy phone call to say they had made it. The football games in the rain and all learning the words to the football song,the smelly shoes. The crazy monkey he bought for Craig and how we laughed every time it played.My Richard loved Duncan and Duncan loved Richard.When Richard passed away Duncan was there for us and I know Dunc is with Richard at that big football game in the sky, buddies together.Many tears were shed when Duncan flew out of Sydney just Dunc and I at the Airport, we thought he would stay forever. His family he so loved, his brother Craig his hero, his Dad his role model and his Mum his darling. He touched everybody he met with his loving nature a product of his families love for him. Vale Duncan Barnes, our Golden Boy, so sadly missed but always in our hearts. | Uploaded file |
